Remote Jobs Board Spotlight
Jobgether is another leading remote jobs board DEDICATED to connecting job seekers with flexible and fully remote opportunities from companies around the globe. It was "born and raised" during Covid times based on the strong belief that the future of work will be flexible and the observation that the future is actually happening now.
For them, flexibility can be split into 3 dimensions: where (location), when (hours), and how (type of contract/relationship with employer) to work.
So they decided to focus on what they believe is the biggest revolution in the labor market since the industrial revolution: the move to flexible and remote jobs!
There are currently +4K jobs listed as available in Ireland 🚀

Remote Work Skills & Tools
A vital skill for remote work success (and indeed your own well-being) is time management – let's break down how you can improve this essential skill and boost your productivity in a remote setting.
Managing your time effectively is crucial when working remotely, as the flexibility of your environment can be both a blessing and a challenge. Time blocking and the Pomodoro technique are two powerful strategies that can help you stay focused, meet deadlines, and avoid distractions.
Time blocking involves scheduling specific blocks of time for particular tasks, helping you prioritize and maintain control over your day. It’s a great way to ensure important tasks get done while also setting aside time for breaks or deep-focus work.
Check out this great resource from remote employer Zapier “The 7 best time blocking apps to manage your calendar” for more info.

The Pomodoro Technique uses a rotation of focused work sessions and frequent short breaks. The idea is that by working uninterrupted for short periods of time, you can simultaneously boost productivity and reduce mental fatigue. If you’re working with multiple team members on multiple projects, this technique can be used to time block your tasks to make the workload less overwhelming.
Check out this great resource from Asana ”Gain focus and productivity with the Pomodoro Technique” for more info.

We offer a variety of training courses for individuals and employers.
Our “Leading Remote Teams” 8 week training program is built to help you bring things like time management skills into your remote or hybrid team.

The State of Remote IE
LinkedIn recently unveiled its Top Startups 2024 list, featuring the 10 Irish companies on the rise. It was particularly exciting to see how many of these success stories have embraced remote work!

From a first pass review, 60% of the startups recognised by LinkedIn operate a remote first model, while 80% adopt either a remote first or hybrid operating model. A clear signal that remote work is becoming a core component of how Irish startups are building for the future 🚀
What Does This Means for Ireland’s Ecosystem and the Future of Work 🤔
Globally, opinions about the compatibility of startups with remote work are varied. Some argue that innovation and collaboration thrive best in-office, while others point to the flexibility, cost savings, and access to global talent that remote models provide. But this small insight into the Irish startup scene shows that startups here are confidently embracing the benefits of remote and hybrid work.
By adopting these flexible work models, these Irish companies are contributing to:
- Expanding their own and Ireland’s talent pool beyond urban centers
- Supporting local communities by decentralising work opportunities
- An example for others that remote work can be a cornerstone for innovation and growth in any sector.
We wish all 10 companies recognised continued success and growth in Ireland and beyond!
