A great place to find all types of jobs is LinkedIn - follow this short guide to make sure you apply the correct filters to get visibility of the 4000+ remote jobs that are listed as available in Ireland at time of publishing or even the 100K+ available in Europe of which more may be available in IE even if they don’t show up ising
Top Tip - allow for some errors in terms of remote listings as many jobs are picked up from across the web via tags. Make sure you always scratch below the surface and dive into the job descriptions!

The Impact of Remote
We know that remote work unlocks positive social economic and environmental change for individuals, employers and local communities. This month we have a combo of social and economic impact!
Flexible Work Key to Retaining Older Workers
A recent Standard Life report (looking at the UK market only) finds that 37% of workers over 55 would consider quitting if flexible hours were restricted, and 24% would accept a pay cut for more flexibility. The research highlights that better flexible work options such as remote or hybrid models could reduce the early exit of 440,000 over-50s annually from key industries.
With strategic sectors losing experienced talent and facing £31 billion in lost output each year, expanding flexible work is vital to keeping older workers in the workforce and lowering economic inactivity.

The State of Remote IE
Each month we track the amount of remote jobs that are listed on LinkedIn for Ireland. At the end of August 2025 the numbers looked like this 👇
18% of jobs listed are remote and 24% are hybrid which = a total of over 40% of jobs are flexible - and that has been consistent over the last quarter.

The # of remote jobs has also been covered by RTE recently and while a different methodology has been used to calculate the numbers by LinkedIn vs the above (simple count) the total # is not so different with the article stating that “36.3% of all advertised roles in Ireland offer flexible arrangements, this is more than five percentage points above the European average of 31.3%.” 🙌
